Fallen is a tribute to the people of Heanor in recognition of their sacrifice and dedication to the war efforts during WWII.
The sculpture was commissioned by Heanor & Loscoe Town Council and is made from Corten steel. It features a father in uniform kissing his child goodbye, against the backdrop of leaves falling from a tree. The falling leaves symbolise the 137 soldiers from Heanor and surrounding districts who gave their lives during World War Two.
The sculpture can be seen in Heanor Memorial Gardens, Derbyshire.
